CounterPULSE » Words First

Located in SOMA in San Francisco, CounterPULSE is a non-profit theater, performance space, community center, and gallery with roots deep in the Bay Area’s provocative performance and dance scenes. CounterPULSE produces its own shows, helps support local artists and activists with its programs and can be rented for productions and rehearsals.

Words First

Words First is the premiere solo performance event in San Francisco. Each month we invite the finest solo artist, comics, and storytellers to the CounterPULSE stage. Solo performance is a unique brand of theater; One person, one stage. It’s one part storytelling, one part comedy, one part drama, and 100% entertainment.

This is an ongoing CounterPULSE program for storytellers from a variety of genres, styles, and traditions to step in front of new audiences. Curated by Thao Ngyuyen and Vanessa Khaleel.
