With the CounterPulse Festival 2021 just one week away, we are so excited to be opening our doors to the public once again!

CounterPulse exists, above all, to make space for people to gather and to be united in collective experiences. The COVID-19 pandemic has challenged us to change and shift the ways we bring people together, and we have become stronger for it.

Our team is committed to continue providing space that is safe as well as physically, economically, and culturally accessible. We have listened to health experts, government officials, and feedback from our community to develop innovative ways to showcase the talents of our amazing roster of artists.

Liveness and body-based arts have perhaps never felt more relevant and seductive, nor more endangered. The CounterPulse Festival insists on finding a place for both in the changing landscape of cultural production in the Bay Area and beyond.

The CounterPulse Festival 2021 is a chance for all of us to reconnect, reflect, and explore how we want to rebuild, taking no assumption from the past and assuming no limits on our future.

Artistic & Executive Director

COUNTERPULSE IS COMMITTED TO MAKING OUR EVENTS ACCESSIBLE TO ALL! PLEASE EMAIL INFO@COUNTERPULSE.ORG WITH ANY ACCESS NEEDS. THANK YOU!
