The Goethe-Institut San Francisco supports Isabelle Schad’s research work for her new production COLLECTIVE JUMPS and has also initiated an artist talk on the CounterPULSE stage that will bring together the Berlin & San Francisco Dance Scene on March 13, 2013. Furthermore Isabelle Schad and Laurent Goldring will show one piece out of the performance series UNTURTLED. This series deals with the costume as a transitional object: at once a prosthesis of the missing last layer of the body, and simultaneously the first encompassing external space.

On the homepage of the dance department of the Goethe-Institut in Munich you can find a short trailer of UNTURTLED #4 which will be shown at CounterPULSE on March 15 and March 16: http://www.goethe.de/kue/tut/cho/cho/sz/sch/enindex.htm

Isabelle Schad has been working for many years with Laurent Goldring. Their new piece DER BAU continues building on the investigation the German choreographer and the French visual artist set up for their four UNTURTLED productions. “In DER BAU we want to investigate how the body can design the space around it, as a place, as a scene, as a scenographic data.”

On the homepage from Tanzforum Berlin you can find a short trailer of DER BAU: http://www.tanzforumberlin.de/trailer569.php
