The first official directors meeting for, Precious Drop – an Afro fusion performance to be held on February 3 and 4 at CounterPULSE – has set the creators a-sail on what will be an educational and magnificant journey. Mohamed Lamine Bangoura, and co-directors of the Jaara Dance Project, Bai “Bintu” Coomber and Abagail Fritz, have joined creative forces to design a compelling and culturally informative message about the importance and sanctity of water as it touches all of our lives. The performance will showcase a number of different cultural perspectives on water, from West and East Africa to the United States. All we can say right now is, it’s going to be a (re)evolutionary ride! We hope you join us as we aim to awaken the powerful tide within you, and rock the boat of imagination and inspiration.
