CounterPulse stands with the people of Palestine, Congo, Sudan, Philippines, Hawaii, Armenia, and all people who are currently facing violent displacement around the globe.
We all have a part in the movement. CounterPulse starts from where we are – deeply embedded in the practices, the shortcomings, and the capacities of the dance field. We believe that dance, embodiment, and improvisation can serve as forms of crisis management and harm reduction, and nurture critical discourse amidst growing polarization and destructive binaries.
We aim to contribute anything of relevant value to realize a stop to the violence and tragedies occurring in Gaza and around the world. At present that means contributing the resource of CounterPulse’s space at no cost to artists and activists working to end systems of oppression.
If you have aligned artist or activist projects that could use CounterPulse’s space, please reach out to producing@counterpulse.org.
