Hi Counterpulsers,
So, tonight’s the night. FACT/SF and Lenora Lee Dance’s ARC show is opening in about 6.5 hours! Wanna see it? Sorry, but we sold out THUR-SAT!!! There are still a couple of seats left for the SUNDAY performance, but I think it’s down to 18! Basically, I’m so proud to have been part of this summer season at CounterPULSE and I think that this ARC show is the perfect ending to my internship.
So what’s a girl to do now that my internship is ova?
No more: confusing the fax machine with the telephone hot office hours database updates
laughs with the my CounterPULSE office peeps Cumica coffee artist interviews FB and Twitter Posting And that AWKWARD feeling you get when you need to use the bathroom and there’s a dress rehearsal going on…
+Plus a million others things I’m going to miss.
I’m blogging cause I want to thank everyone for my loverly time this summa at CounterPULSE. I’ve grown a lot as a computer wiz, artist, and person. Except random visits!
Love,
Tessa Fleming, the old outreach intern <3

Inspired by ancestral, community-centered, and spiritual relationships to land and plants, [and then we must be] by Audrey Johnson is a research and ritual project honoring Black American practices with land and plants through the modes of food, farming, rootwork, and magic. The work honors the practices that get passed down through recipe, spell, and story, as well as the memories active and activated in the body, plants, the land (soil, clay, mycelium, strata), and in spirit.
We’ll miss you, Tessa! You’ve left your mark, indelibly.
