With groundbreaking slated for early January, Group i’s 950-974 Market project is nearly upon us as residents, workers, and artists in the Tenderloin. The construction is expected to last for over two years.

CounterPulse has identified a unique opportunity to hire artists to mitigate some of the issues associated with construction projects. Leveraging the unique partnership from Group i, CounterPulse will allocate construction mitigation funds from the developer directly to artists to design public art interventions that will beautify, provide respite, and illuminate the unit-block of Turk Street during the entirety of the construction.

We’d like to invite you, our neighbors in the Tenderloin or other interested parties, to an info session at CounterPulse, where we will explain our plans for the project. We’ll show renderings of the purposed art, introduce community partners, explain our community design process, and invite questions and feedback from the group.

Coffee, soft drinks, and light snacks will be provided.

We will not be able to comment or relay feedback about the development itself, but we encourage you to share your thoughts and feedback directly with the developers.
