OFF THE WALL is a short series of programs devoted to screenings of performance pieces of enduring interest and influence that are nevertheless just on the periphery for most of us. Whether it’s because we’ve forgotten about them or never really saw them in the first place, they have receded from our conscious, collective consideration. But through the miracle of film and videotape we can see them now, projected on the wall, and enjoy them as an old friend or as a revelation, or as a little of both. Each screening will be followed by responses of some kind from individuals connected somehow to the particular work on display. Audiences are invited to share their own responses. It’s Wednesday night movie night. So low-key that anything can happen or not. It all ends up in the check-plus column..
