*Brass Band Second Line 11:30AM at 8th and Mission
Call in Hungry! On the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day and Mardi Gras, take off of work and join us in a Mardi Gras second line with MJ’s Brass Boppers from 8th and Mission to CounterPULSE theater where we will cook, eat and engage in conversation and dialogue about how to eat home cooked meals on a regular basis.
Share your insights and wisdom along with invited Food activists and artists who will be sharing their knowledge and wisdom on these issues. Food, music, good conversation and an excerpt from Deep Waters Dance Theaterʼs upcoming Production, Our Daily Bread; a dance theater work about food, food folklore, cultural identity and sustainability.
