RasaNova presents the North American premiere of Dancing on Glass
A Dark Comedy Written by Ram Ganesh Kamatham/ Directed by Vidhu Singh
Dancing on Glass takes a look at the flip side of the fast paced, globalized technological world. Written in 2004, in the thick of the outsourcing buzz, the play is an eloquent response to the rapid changes in the cityscape and its effect on two young working professionals. Alternating between raucous humor and edgy drama, the play runs for 1 hour and 20 minutes without interval and is an emotionally explosive theatrical experience. A must-watch for anyone who has ever worked in a corporate space!
Megha works nights at a Call Center. Shankar is a software engineer. Her hormones are all over the place. He is constipated. When Pradeep—Megha’s boyfriend and Shankar’s roommate—dies, there is suddenly a void in both their lives. They come together, braving the torture of their professional lives, struggling to connect, reaching out for each other in the darkness…And in the technojunkiechilledoutlaidbackfastexpanding PARTY ZONE life is really crazy for the cyber-coolie!
