Back to back weekends of performances from CounterPulse’s Fall Artist-in-Residency explore the role of movement in transformation, perception, and states of being. Due to delays in the construction timeline, the events have been moved, please see below for more details. All existing ticket purchases are still valid and tickets should still be purchased through CounterPulse.

Russian Play is an exploration of theater as form. Taking as its raw material Chekhov’s Three Sisters, Russian Play pulls apart the conventions of realist theater and rearranges them with an abstract, choreographic logic, producing something more like a dance. Come for the formalism, stay for the melancholy!

Directed by Emily Hoffman, Performed by Atosa Babaoff, Beatrice Basso, and Nora el-Samahy

Now at ODC Studio B, located at 351 Shotwell Street, between 17th and 18th Street.
